Well, I tried to keep my comments as much in I-statements as possible, because some stories I don't find very podficcable, others loved reading and listening to :) So I'm thinking it's more that some writers really write to be heard (more like drama than prose maybe?) whereas others are not as conscious of that?

Putting your voice out there is definitely strange, especially when you have an accent like I do (and one where yo think EVERYONE will recognize you, when in fact that's really not the case, i think). But it is a form of exposure that I totally understand not everyone's comfortable with.
